Manage the Facilities Department function with all aspects of the Church facilities and grounds, including leading the facilities maintenance technicians. A self-motivated, dependable, efficient, and trustworthy Facilities Dept. Head. The primary function is to ensure the physical church building and land of Redemption West is pristine and maintained in a way that reflects the excellence of God. The facilities department head is responsible for overseeing all contractors that work on the facility and grounds keeping. This role includes maintenance, repairs, facility inspection, and set-up and breakdown of rooms for ministry and events.FACILITY MAINTENANCECoordinate the maintenance of heating and cooling equipment, plumbing facilities, etc. according to a regular schedule as agreed to by the Executive Pastor.Oversee the cleaning service contract to ensure fulfillment of promised services and keep a log of completed rotations.Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly to-do lists.Perform minor fixes such as small drywall repairs, etc.Make minor mechanical, plumbing, furniture, and other facilities repairs & requests, based upon competency and need.Inspect and troubleshoot equipment systems (i.e. ventilation).Maintain the aesthetic appeal of the church by replacing light bulbs, removing trash/clutter, painting as needed, replacing door locks, and removing anything unsanitary and unsightly.Order requests for maintenance & cleaning supplies.Meet weekly with the Executive Pastor and staff to discuss facility concerns.MINISTRY/EVENT SUPPORTSet-up/breakdown chairs for special room configurations requested by ministries and indicated on the weekly schedule provided by Executive Pastor Admin.Prepare sanctuary and baptistery for scheduled Baptism.Help in set-up for major, church-wide events.Assist with set-up for meetings and Bible Studies as requested.Ensure the church is prepared for worship (chairs, room temperature, signage as needed, etc.).As needed, be on-site to assist with facility needs for special events (weddings, rentals, etc.).Ensure the building is prepared for funerals, repasts, and burials.GROUNDS KEEPINGInspect the grounds to ensure lawn maintenance contractor fulfills promised services.Ensure grounds are clear of droppings, debris, and trash.In the event of snow or ice, oversee salting parking lot and sidewalk.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITIONAbility to complete basic furniture assembly is helpful.Proficiency with email, verbal, and written communication.Ability to lift at least 50lbs.Proven track record of problem-solving and employer relations.Demonstrates efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.Ability to handle multiple projects effectively.Ability to manage a professional relationship with maintenance technicians and support the department in all areas needed.Requirements
