The Health & Benefits Senior Consultant will play a pivotal role in leading and developing relationships with large & complex clients while supporting new business opportunities. Primary responsibilities will revolve around driving business results through retaining and growing a book of business. By taking accountability and leading consulting teams, the Senior Consultant will contribute to our mission of providing exceptional consulting services that are delivered accurately and timely. Dedication and a proactive approach will be essential in maintaining effective internal relationships and driving positive results.
Essential Duties and Functions:
Oversee and assume responsibility for large client relationships
Drive strategy and grow client relations and revenue
Demonstrate leadership by managing and/or mentoring colleagues
Manage complex projects, teams and client deliverables
Develop multi-year strategic plans incorporating client’s specific business needs and objectives
Develop relationships across internal, client and vendor organizations
Lead business development of prospective client opportunities
Partner with the broader consulting team and specialists to deliver on consulting projects
Advise clients on analysis options, potential solutions and alternatives
Prepare for and facilitate client meetings
Lead the execution of client benefit strategies, vendor solicitation and implementation of solutions
Analyze vendor products, proposals, and services
Address escalated client and vendor requests and service needs
Support ad-hoc client requests
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Experience and Skills:
10+ years experience leading client engagements and complex teams ideally with a consultant, broker or carrier
Strong executive level presence
Proven ability to maintain and grow revenue
Ability to network, influence, and collaborate broadly across internal and client organizations
In depth knowledge of health and welfare plans including design, financials, underwriting, vendors and solutions
Ability to manage complex projects, working with large teams
Strong client facing and communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Strong math and statistics skills
Flexibility to travel for client and internal meetings
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Bachelor's degree
Pay range between $175,000.00 and $250,000.00
