The Business Unit Controller is a key member of the Accounting & Finance team responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate monthly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, performing analysis to support the business, providing reports and information for external audit requirements, and assisting with special projects. This role optimizes performance and supports effective business decisions.This is a permanent, remote, full-time position with a salary range of $140K - $160K.Responsibilities:

Ensure financial transactions are appropriately accounted for in accordance with US GAAPPreparation of financial statements and reportingPerform variance analysis on BU financial results to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes impacting completeness and accuracy of the financial statementsWork closely with FP&A and BU leadership to analyze and monitor resultsSupervise accounting team responsible for revenue and cost of sales accounting process including deferred revenue during monthly close process.Review reconciliations to ensure balances are appropriately supported and explainedCollaborate with key stakeholders to resolve any reconciliation issues in a timely mannerSupport various business groups with ad-hoc analysis and information, including debt compliance reportingMaintain and update key policies and proceduresAssist with annual external audit process, responding to audit needs with urgencyManage and coach team members to increase engagement and strengthen professional developmentDevelop talent within the accounting organization to promote individual development and career growthSupervise accounts payable team, ensuring payments are processed in accordance with policyActively manage cash flows to include a full understanding of the result versus budget, all balance sheet items and cash flow movementsDefine and implement internal controls regarding financial processes and create and sustain a culture of continuous improvement to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of accounting operationsEnsure compliance with corporate and local standards, tax regulations and guidelines.Provide guidance and facilitate best practice sharing across the BU and between other CloudOne Digital companiesPerform other responsibilities as directed by managementAll regular reporting and ad hoc requests from CAO and/or CFO to be delivered on time and in fullClear and regular communications to the Finance team and Business Unit leadersAll regulatory matter complianceSkills, Competencies, and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or accounting10+ years of demonstrated results in finance, operational controlling and/or accountingExperience as assistant controller or other similar positionExcellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (financial close process, reporting, budgeting, etc.)Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsSolid knowledge of US GAAP and regulationsProficiency in accounting software and ERP systemsSuperior analytical and modeling skills including advanced proficiency in Excel and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reportsStrong financial manager, structured and results oriented leader with strong analytical and operational controlling skillsStrong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skillsHigh level of independence, integrity, and attention to detailPreferred Qualifications:
