Responsibilities include assisting with certifications, audit preparation or corrections as assigned by the Regional Portfolio Manager or Community Director, and providing support to the site staff.Pay: $19 - $21 / HourDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with property program compliance requirements, including timely annual certification processes and agency reports and responses, as assigned.Conduct applicant/resident certification interviews, gather eligibility documents including verifications, and complete and submit files to the third-party auditor with high accuracy for quick approval.Timely processing of certification files.Maintain positive, professional, and effective communication with onsite staff, Portfolio Managers, and Compliance team members.Keep immediate supervisor informed of work progress, including present and potential work problems and suggestions for improvements.Timely update of assigned internal tracking systems.Provide timely responses to Community Director, Portfolio Manager, Compliance Specialist, and Compliance Director.Assist during the initial qualifying process of new construction lease-up properties, re-syndications, and/or acquisition/rehab of existing properties, as assigned.Overnight and air travel may be required.Must be flexible to adjust priorities and assigned properties.Consistently and fairly enforce community rules and regulations, FPI Standard Operating Procedures.Comply with all Fair Housing Laws and FPI policies and procedures.Promote a professional image by adhering to FPI Management's Dress Code Policy.Conduct communications in a professional manner while representing FPI Management.Meet all training requirements for the position (Grace Hill, Safety Meetings, etc.).Perform any and all functions as directed by the supervisor, including special project assistance.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSMinimum of 2 years’ experience with affordable housing programs and regulatory compliance in programs such as LIHTC, HUD programs, USDA-Rural Development, HCD, HOME Funds, and Bonds.High School diploma or equivalency certificate required. College degree in a relatable field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in property management.Affordable Housing/Tax Credit certification preferred (C3P, HCCP, HCP-E, COS, TCS, CPO, FHC, NAHP, NAHPe, SCHM, etc.).Valid Driver's License, good driving record, current motor vehicle insurance meeting State requirements, and an operable vehicle that meets FPI’s Driving Standards.Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Apps, property management-related software, email, internet).SKILLS REQUIRED:Basic Computer SkillsCustomer ServiceGoogle Mail (GMail)G-Suite (Google)Internet UseESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTESEmbrace and exemplify FPI's core values in every task and interaction.Positive influencing, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.Why look at FPI for your next career step?
