Job Details:Full-timeUnit Count: 164Location: V85 - Woodland Heights IEmployee Type: RegularDriving/License Required: YesJob Overview:The Certification Specialist will support site staff and occasionally cover for vacant positions or absent employees while fulfilling compliance duties. Responsibilities include assisting with certifications, audit preparation, and providing support to site staff.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with property program compliance requirements, including timely annual certification processes and agency reports.Conduct applicant/resident certification interviews, gather eligibility documents, and submit files to the third-party auditor with high accuracy.Timely processing of certification files.Maintain positive communication with onsite staff, Portfolio Managers, and Compliance team members.Keep immediate supervisor informed of work progress and potential work problems.Timely update of assigned internal tracking systems.Provide timely responses to Community Director, Portfolio Manager, Compliance Specialist, and Compliance Director.Assist during the initial qualifying process of new construction lease-up properties, re-syndications, and acquisition/rehab of existing properties.Overnight and air travel may be required.Must be flexible to adjust priorities and assigned properties.Consistently enforce community rules and regulations, FPI Standard Operating Procedures.Comply with all Fair Housing Laws and FPI policies and procedures.Promote a professional image by adhering to FPI Management's Dress Code Policy.Conduct oneself in a professional manner when communicating with employees, residents, clients, vendors, and guests.Meet all training requirements for the position (Grace Hill, Safety Meetings, etc.).Perform any and all functions as directed by the supervisor, including special project assistance.Minimum Requirements:Minimum of 2 years’ experience with affordable housing programs and regulatory compliance (e.g., LIHTC, HUD programs, USDA-Rural Development).High School diploma or equivalency required; college degree preferred.Affordable Housing/Tax Credit certification preferred (C3P, HCCP, HCP-E, etc.).Valid Driver's License and good driving record.Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Apps, property management software).Skills Required:Basic Computer SkillsCustomer ServiceG-Suite (Google)Internet UseEssential Attributes:Embrace and exemplify our HEART core values in every task and interaction.Positive influencing, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.Why look at FPI for your next career step?
