Full-timeUnit Count: 164Location: V85 - Woodland Heights IProperty Name: Woodland Heights IHourly Pay Range: $20 - $25Employee Type: RegularDriving/License Required: YesThe Certification Specialist will support site staff and cover for vacant positions and/or absent site employees while fulfilling compliance duties. Responsibilities include assisting with certifications, audit preparation, and providing support to site staff as assigned by the Regional Portfolio Manager or Community Director.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with property program compliance requirements, including timely annual certification processes and agency reports.Conduct applicant/resident certification interviews, gather eligibility documents, and submit files to the third-party auditor with high accuracy.Timely processing of certification files.Maintain effective communication with onsite staff, Portfolio Managers, and Compliance team members.Keep immediate supervisor informed of work progress and potential issues.Update assigned internal tracking systems promptly.Respond timely to Community Director, Portfolio Manager, Compliance Specialist, and Compliance Director.Assist during the initial qualifying process of new construction lease-up properties and acquisitions as assigned.Overnight and air travel may be required.Flexibility to adjust priorities and assigned properties.Consistently enforce community rules and regulations and comply with all Fair Housing Laws and FPI policies.Adhere to FPI Management's Dress Code Policy.Maintain professionalism in communication with all stakeholders.Meet all training requirements for the position.Perform any functions as directed by the supervisor.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSMinimum of 2 years’ experience with affordable housing programs and regulatory compliance (e.g., LIHTC, HUD, USDA-Rural Development).High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.Affordable Housing/Tax Credit certification preferred (e.g., C3P, HCCP).Valid Driver's License and good driving record.Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Apps, property management software).ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTESExemplify FPI's core values in all tasks and interactions.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Why look at FPI for your next career step?
