Full-timeUnit Count: 82Location: W97 - Market CenterProperty Name: Market CenterHourly Pay Range: $31Employee Type: RegularDriving/License Required: YesMultifamily Property ManagementThe Certification Specialist will support site staff and cover for vacant positions and/or absent site employees while fulfilling compliance duties. Responsibilities include assisting with certifications, audit preparation, and corrections as assigned by the Regional Portfolio Manager or Community Director, while providing support to the site staff.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with property program compliance requirements including timely annual certification process and agency reports.Conduct applicant/resident certification interviews, gather eligibility documents, and submit files to the third-party auditor with high accuracy.Timely processing of certification files.Maintain effective communication with onsite staff, Portfolio Managers, and Compliance team members.Keep immediate supervisor informed of work progress and suggest improvements.Timely update of assigned internal tracking systems.Provide timely responses to Community Director, Portfolio Manager, and Compliance team.Assist during the initial qualifying process of new construction lease-up properties, re-syndications, or acquisition/rehab of existing properties.Overnight and air travel may be required.Must be flexible to adjust priorities and assigned properties.Consistently enforce community rules and regulations, FPI Standard Operating Procedures.Comply with all Fair Housing Laws and FPI policies.Promote a professional image by adhering to FPI Management's Dress Code Policy.Conduct communication in a professional manner with employees, residents, clients, vendors, and guests.Meet all training requirements for the position.Perform any functions as directed by the supervisor, including special project assistance.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSMinimum 2 years’ experience with affordable housing programs and regulatory compliance (LIHTC, HUD programs, USDA-Rural Development, etc.).High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.Affordable Housing/Tax Credit certification preferred (C3P, HCCP, etc.).Valid Driver's License, a good driving record, and current motor vehicle insurance.Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Apps, property management software).SKILLS REQUIRED:Basic Computer SkillsCustomer ServiceGoogle Mail (GMail)G-Suite (Google)Internet UseESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTESEmbrace and exemplify HEART core values in every task and interaction.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Why look at FPI for your next career step?
