The Employee Benefits Attorney will advise clients on various employee benefit plans, including retirement and welfare benefit plans. This role will involve providing counsel on ongoing benefits work and addressing benefits issues arising in M&A transactions, financings, and other business dealings.Responsibilities:

Advise clients on employee benefit plans, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Guide retirement and welfare benefit plans, including plan design, implementation, and administration.Assist clients in navigating benefits issues during mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.Conduct legal research and analysis related to employee benefits matters.Draft legal documents, including plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and participant communications.Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.Stay abreast of developments in employee benefits law and industry trends.Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee benefits law, preferably with expertise in retirement and welfare benefit plans.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.Prior experience in a law firm environment is preferred; however, candidates with experience in accounting or consulting firms will be considered.Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.Education and Certifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.Skills:

Comprehensive understanding of employee benefits laws and regulations.Excellent legal research and writing abilities.Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
