Responsible for supporting the database servers, databases, cloud data storage, operational stores, workspaces and tasks associated with administering and maintaining assigned SQL Server, Snowflake and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) platforms that support day-to-day operations and projects.
To be successful in this role, you:
Possess a bachelor's degree in IT, health information management, or management information systems; or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience (required). Master's degree preferred.Have a Minimum 5 years experience in Snowflake and Azure environment administration, configuration, utilities, and toolsHave a Minimum 5 years experience in SQL Server administration, configuration, on-prem or hybrid database administration, utilities, and toolsHave a Minimum 3 years healthcare experience; managed care organization, health insurance data management experience preferredHave a Minimum 3 years experience as data steward working with business data producers and consumersHave Experience administering cloud database management systems such as Oracle, Redshift, GCP etc.Have experience developing data management and administration requirements, functional specifications, data mapping and supporting documentationHave experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodology preferredEssential functions and Roles and Responsibilities:
Database and Data Repository Administration:
Configures and maintains Snowflake and SQL Server environments to ensure optimal databases performance and availability.Installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors, troubleshoots, and reports metrics on assigned Snowflake and SQL Server databases.Identify and apply industry best practices to on premise and cloud databases for better performance and security managementProvisions use roles, user accounts, upgrades, and security settings for all Snowflake and SQL Server users; perform regular user account audit.Monitors database performance, storage, credit usage on Azure SQL, Snowflake and ADLSPerforms timely analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex database issues. Recommends and implements approved corrective solutions.Standards and procedures:
Participates in the definition and implementation of group standards and processes for tool utilization, business solution frameworks, and standardized documentation required in the delivery of database administration services.Recommends, plan, and implements database user access and security strategies based on the company data security policy.Operations Management:
Contributes expertise in areas of tool utilization, production support, business solutions framework, customer facilitation and coordination to ensure SQL Server, Snowflake, ADSL, and other database applications are operating at the highest level of efficiency possible and the business' data needs are being met.Receives, organizes, and effectively performs all assigned database requests required to meet the needs of data management, applications development, business intelligence, data analysis, IT operations and other external entities affecting the Community Health Plan of Washington enterprise data environment.Supports strategic projects sponsored by the company adhering to the priorities and schedules established for designated project work.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to read and write advanced SQL, T-SQL andAbility to script in PowerShell and PythonWorking knowledge of data stores, data lake, organization, and integration solutionsWorking knowledge of Snowsight, DBeaver and/or SQL Server Management StudioWorking knowledge of cloud orchestration tools such as Airflow, ETLWorks, HVR Fivetran.Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills of data and systems integration related issuesAbility to be work independently with limited supervision.Ability to organize tasks, timelines, and delivery .Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.Managed care health plan and/or health care industry experience preferred.As part of our hiring process, the following criteria must be met:

The position is FLSA Exempt and is not eligible for overtime. Based on market data, this position grade is 69 and has a 10% annual incentive target based on company, department, and individual performance goals.
