Associate Director of Development

for an amazing nonprofit medical education organization. This incredible full-time, direct hire opportunity is located in the Northside of Chicago, IL.This role only requires onsite work on Wednesday! The other days are remote!

Reporting to and working alongside the Chief Learning Officer, this new role as the

Associate Director of Development

will implement funding strategies, and expand relationships, partnerships, and sponsorships. This role is key in driving growth and fostering strategic industry partnerships and offers growth in both title and responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supports strategy development & contributes to a comprehensive stewardship plan for all donors tiered to impact level.Negotiate and execute funding contracts and agreements. Create and distribute fulfillment reports that document deliverables and supporter's ROI.Own the transition of about 20 corporate funders to annual donation contracts.Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing and potential exhibitors and sponsors to achieve funding goals.Create and adhere to project plan that outlines the funding strategy, timeline, and activities for the organization.Provide oversight to the Annual Scientific Conference which is held the first quarter of every year. You will partner with the contract sales sponsorship team for their exhibit booth.Collaborate with the organizations stakeholders to maintain a strong understanding of priorities, offerings, and initiatives to inform and align support from industry partners.Manage corporate support recognition and sponsorship fulfillment and reconciliation in partnership with the accounting team.Submit grants to obtain funding and equipment for educational workshops and clinical training programs.Donor database management within iMIS and MS Excel.For the first year, you will work alongside the Chief Learning Officer to hit a fundraising goal of $150,000.QUALIFICATIONS:

College degree required.Demonstrated experience building business relationships with medical device companies. Medical Association experience preferred.Minimum 3-4 years of direct experience building and leading fundraising activities through corporate donations.Capable of independently completing all tasks.Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to craft compelling, influential communications.Demonstrated success maintaining multiple donor relationships.Experience establishing, monitoring, and meeting short-term and long-term revenue goals.Strong track record of high-level customer service, critical thinking, and organization.Capability to work both independently and collaboratively and manage multiple competing tasks with great attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Zoom required.
