20%Provide leadership, direction, and execution of the global strategic plan for Medtronic Supply Chain Logistics and Transportation. Proactively engage with supply chain and business leaders, employees, suppliers, and carriers to achieve world-class quality, service, and cost for Transportation programs. Lead team to effectively utilize logistics analytics, standardize work, and drive continuous improvement to achieve global supply department objectives.A Day in the Life• Drive standardization of processes to achieve “One Best Way” of measuring Medtronic KPI’s and MetricsMonitor and report on global transportation KPI’s, build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to ensure quality, service, and spend targets are metCollaborate across all Medtronic operations to meet business and geography goals in transportation and logisticsDeliver on short-term and long-term objectives, timelines, milestones, and budgets for successful transportation programsCollaborate with Operation Units, Regions, Customer Service, Sourcing, Quality, Distribution, Sales Operations, Manufacturing, Planning, and Finance to achieve cost, service, and quality optimization across the supply chainSupport the deployment and implementation of the Global TMS and help with the development of global transportation analytics and KPIsDrive focused collaboration with business groups/units on AOP and forecast accuracyMust Have: Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree requiredMinimum of 4 years of relevant experience in transportation 3PL partnership, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in transportation 3PL partnershipNice to Have3PL or Transportation partner knowledge across multiple regions or countriesExperience with global transportation or warehousing processesExperience in logistics optimization, supply chain operations/managementCreative thinker with strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical reasoning skillsWorking knowledge of national and international dangerous goods regulationsExperience managing and leading cross-functional teams without direct reporting relationshipsStrong interpersonal and influence management skillsStrong written and oral communications skillsDiscretion with confidential or sensitive informationCapable of multitasking and working with changing priorities and deadlinesDemonstrated ability to collaborate and influence Global BU, Regional, and Site contacts who have transportation responsibilitiesConsistent application of change management, project management leadership, and application of continuous process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement techniquesFamiliarity with TMS, WMS, SAP distribution, and transportation system capabilitiesExperience working in a shared services organizationPhysical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. PR) locations (USD): $76,000.00 - $114,000.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.About Medtronic
