THE OPPORTUNITYUMHS is actively recruiting an experienced Director of Finance to join our senior leadership team in Hermiston, Oregon. The new Director of Finance will be part of a growing leadership team of colleagues who are recognized leaders in children’s education, community and human services, and facility management. The new Director of Finance will be joining at an exciting time as the organization is moving into a new 5 Year Strategic Plan with goals to increase and expand high quality service areas to growing communities.JOB GOAL
To lead and manage UMHS’ financial department in accordance with federal and state regulations, effectively oversee and direct financial reporting and strategies for supporting the annual budgeting process; direct supervision and management of finance staff and provide fiscal integrity through the implementation of sound internal controls. Lead and train a fiscal team and demonstrate hands-on leadership; provide significant contributions to the Senior Leadership Team and support to the Executive Director and Board of Directors. Analyze, develop, and make sound financial recommendations and explanations to the Executive Director and Governance, monitoring entities, and the public alike.REMOTE/HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE OPTION
This role has the flexibility to utilize a remote/hybrid work schedule. Attendance at monthly board of directors' meetings and monthly or quarterly staff training events is required. Onsite meetings and events will include attendance at our Hermiston, Oregon main office location or any other UMHS worksite. Onboarding and training onsite is required for the first few months of employment.
