The Enablement & Operations (E&O) team enables Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) to better serve every person and organization’s transformation and economic success. How? We design, build, and manage the levers that accelerate commercial growth—including compensation, business performance and insights, planning, skilling, tooling, and engineering.

The Executive Office team within E&O plays a pivotal role in this journey and is responsible for maximizing the scale, impact, and voice of the CVP and the Enablement & Operations team. We accomplish this through strategic business management, fostering a dynamic culture and employee experience, effective communications, and seamless cross-MCAPS engagement and program orchestration.

The Senior Business Manager, Enablement & Operations will lead E&O’s business processes for budgeting and financial planning, hiring processes, procurement, and special projects on behalf of E&O. The candidate should be self-directed with an ability to manage through ambiguity and look around corners to anticipate business needs. This position requires extensive cross-group coordination at all levels, solid financial acumen, and a propensity to get stuff done. The candidate should be effective in developing critical processes, standard operating procedures, and communications that facilitate clear understanding and result in streamlined decision-making and action. Structurally, this role reports to the Director of Business Management within the E&O Executive Office. The successful candidate will partner with the Chief of Staff, E&O Business Manager Community, Finance, Procurement, and a wide range of stakeholders in the MCAPS E&O organization.

This U.S.-based role offers flexibility in that you can work remotely from home or a Microsoft Office near you. As part of a global team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across various time zones, with core hours aligned to Pacific Time.

ResponsibilitiesLeverages knowledge of organizational strategy and planned deliverables for the upcoming year(s) to design budgets. Develops forecasting plans in partnership with the leadership team and their respective business management teams. Works in partnership with Finance to approve and set the budgets. Works with procurement team to coordinate future resources.Oversees the hiring review processes, procurement, and business operations for human capital management. Designs, executes and enhances processes, automations, tools, and reporting. Monitors processes’ health and supports the leader in decision making and responding to signals and insights.Drives cross-team strategic projects on behalf of E&O and MCAPS as needed to meet the changing business environment and to manage complex business needs.Collaborates with internal stakeholders and Microsoft teams to oversee the creation and implementation of execution plans related to core responsibilities. Ensures alignment for strategy initiatives across functions for their area of ownership. Identifies best practices for strategy execution, leverages information, advocating for business cases, and may present cases to leader.Drives accountability for the team and organization in executing core business activities. Reviews performance, commitments, execution, and leverages stakeholders to achieve results.Embodies our culture and values.QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 4+ years of experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles.OR equivalent experience.2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.Preferred Qualifications:Passion for driving and landing change.Track record of cross-group collaboration and coordination at multiple levels of the company.Success with relationship management including ability to rapidly build trust and confidence of stakeholders, as well as influence business decisions across boundaries, at all levels of the organization, and often in ambiguous situations.Business maturity and experience working with senior leaders, with the ability to work independently.Executive presence and high proficiency with written and verbal communication skills.Global program management and execution skills, with ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.Experience in budget planning, management, and strategy.Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to support business objectives.Experience with process automation and optimization.Attention to detail and accuracy in all deliverables.

- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
