Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a highly qualified Private Equity Attorney with 4-5 years of experience in private equity and mergers and acquisitions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent drafting, analytical, and interpersonal skills, along with strong business acumen. This role requires individuals with a proven track record of successfully handling the day-to-day requirements of private equity fund and portfolio company clients.Duties:Drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and other ancillary transaction documents.Meeting the ongoing legal needs of private equity fund and portfolio company clients.Providing strategic counsel and demonstrating good business judgment.Playing a lead role as an extension of client business teams in a team-oriented and dynamic environment.Requirements:Minimum of 4-5 years of private equity and mergers and acquisitions experience.Excellent academic credentials with a law degree from a reputable institution.Prior large firm experience working with private equity sponsors.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Bar in the District of Columbia.Skills:Exceptional drafting, writing, and analytical skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills.Project management capabilities.Demonstrated experience in private equity and M&A transactions.Business and strategic judgment.Job Location: Washington, DCBenefits: The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Health savings account (with applicable medical plan) and flexible spending accounts.Life insurance, AD&D, and long-term care coverage.Backup care for children and/or adults.Parental support benefits, including generous parental leave and fertility benefits.Accrued vacation time at four weeks per year, sick time at the rate of two weeks per year, and 10 paid holidays each year.
