Our client within the hospitality industry is seeking a

HR Generalist

focused primarily on recruiting efforts. The ideal candidate must come from the hospitality, retail, or restaurant industry.

Job Details:

Title:

HR Generalist (Recruiting Focus)

Type:

Contract (to potential full time hire)

Location:

100% onsite in Alexandria, VA (not metro accessible, but free parking available)

Rate/Salary:

$38-40/hr | $90k upon conversion

Background Check:

Criminal run upon offer

Candidate Profile and Qualifications:

Experience:

5 years of professional work experience, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources function, specifically out of manufacturing, hospitality, retail, or restaurant industry.

Must bring heavy recruitment experience, with experience hiring for all levels of positions, part-time, full-time, hourly, and salary employees.

True passion for the hospitality and food industry; this person will be the face of the org when hiring!

Must have strong recruiting experience using: ZoomInfo + LinkedIn AND payroll experience (they use Paychex); they also use a catering operating management system (not a must-have but this person must be tech-savvy).

Soft Skills:

No task too small mentality (back-office team all work in tandem together).

Education:

Bachelor’s preferred.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Manages recruitment efforts and designs training and development programs.

Develops HR policies and programs covering organizational planning, development, employment, training, relations, compensation, benefits, safety, and employee services.

Advises management on HR issues and ensures compliance with legal requirements and government regulations.

Acts as primary contact with labor counsel and government agencies.

Directs organizational planning, job design, and forecasting.

Establishes wage structures, pay policies, benefits, and safety programs.

Maintains HR information system, supervises HR staff, and oversees payroll processing.
