This is a small business; the Financial Manager will touch all levels of finance from entry-level bookkeeping to financial modeling for future scenarios. You should have mastery over general bookkeeping practices and some experience with financial analysis and forecasting. This is a mid-range position that will wear many hats. Candidates should be eager to learn and contribute strategically to the company’s future with a strong self-starter disposition. The ability to problem solve quickly and give attention to detail is essential. Familiarity with music royalties is desired, but not required. This position is full time, based in Atlanta, and reports directly to the SVP of Operations.Responsibilities:Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactionsReport organization’s finances to management and offer suggestions about resource utilizationPrepare and process payrollManage accounts payable and accounts receivableUse financial modeling to simulate financial scenariosReconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account informationAssist outside firm with processing and collection of all necessary tax informationOversee album budgets including tracking expenses and reporting to the teamDeliver album expenses for royalty processingAnalyze market trends to discover business opportunities and maximize profitsMaintain an orderly accounting filing systemSupport month-end and year-end close processCommunicate effectively with producers, artists, suppliers, etc. regarding payment processingDevelop trends and projections for the company’s financesExplore and bring forward cost-reduction opportunitiesGenerate 1099s and W2sProvide technical support for financial software to managementDirect internal and external auditsAbility to contribute to whatever financial need may arise, including learning new skills and quickly adapting to the changing needs of the businessRequirements:An analytical mindNegotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationshipsA keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
