Our client, a dynamic and expanding project-based solutions company headquartered in Midtown Atlanta, is seeking a strategic Vice President of Finance to join their leadership team. This pivotal role will drive financial strategy, optimize financial performance, and support the company’s growth initiatives both domestically and internationally.Position Overview:The VP Finance will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the company’s financial strategy, overseeing all financial operations, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. This position combines high-level strategic oversight with hands-on financial management, making it integral to the company’s ongoing success and expansion.Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Serve as a key member of the executive team, providing financial insights and recommendations to drive informed decision-making.Financial Strategy:
Create and implement financial strategies and practices that are scalable and adaptable to the company’s size and growth trajectory.Budgeting and Forecasting:
Spearhead the development and management of budgeting processes, financial forecasts, and projections. Analyze variances between actual performance and forecasts to identify areas for improvement, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and empowering data-driven decision-making.Financial Reporting:
Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports, offering actionable insights and strategic recommendations derived from financial data.Performance Analysis:
Analyze financial performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to guide strategic decisions.Cash Flow Management:
Ensure the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its operational needs and investment opportunities.Cost Control:
Implement and monitor cost control measures to optimize expenses and improve profitability.Banking Relationships:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and manage banking activities, including loans, credit lines, and cash management.Growth Planning:
Support the company's expansion plans, including new market entry, acquisitions, or scaling operations.Business Case Development:
Develop financial models and business cases to support new initiatives, investments, or strategic decisions.Risk Management:
Assess and manage financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.Compensation Structures & Bonuses:
Develop and implement effective compensation and bonus structures ensuring alignment with company performance and strategic objectives.Data Integrity:
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting systems.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.Advanced degree such as an MBA or a Master’s in Finance is highly desirable.7+ years demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis, strategic financial management and leadership.Experience in industries where billable hours are a key component of utilization metrics, such as professional services including marketing consultancy, legal services, IT services, and similar fields.Ability to develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with company goals.Expertise in analyzing financial statements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial models.Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks, with experience in developing risk management strategies and ensuring regulatory compliance.Strong ability to present complex financial data and strategic recommendations to non-financial stakeholders.Base Salary: $120,000-$150,000.
