The candidate will play a pivotal role in handling a variety of labor and employment matters, providing legal counsel, conducting research, and representing clients in court proceedings.Duties:Conduct legal research and analysis on labor and employment issues.Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Take and defend depositions of clients, witnesses, and experts.Handle discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.Assist in trial preparation and provide support during trials.File pleadings with State and Federal courts and represent clients in court appearances.Communicate effectively and timely with clients and colleagues.Maintain meticulous records and ensure adherence to deadlines.Requirements:6-10 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on labor and employment law.Admission to practice law in the State of California.Experience in employment and/or wage & hour law is preferred.Strong preference for candidates with experience in business litigation and general litigation.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Skills:Proficiency in legal research tools and databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice.Strong advocacy skills and ability to represent clients effectively in court.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Benefits:
