Employment Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Attorney to join their team in Seattle, WA. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling various aspects of employment litigation, providing strategic counsel to HR professionals and executives, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.Assist in all aspects of litigation, including class, collective, and PAGA actions.Evaluate claims, handle mediation, take depositions, engage in motion practice, and prepare for and take cases to arbitration and trial.Work with senior attorneys to counsel HR professionals and business executives on compliance with employment laws.Provide strategic thinking in avoiding and resolving employment disputes.Requirements:Active California State Bar membership.Active Washington State or Oregon State Bar membership, or the ability to waive into or sit for the Washington State or Oregon State Bar.5+ years of experience handling employment litigation in California, representing management.Substantial experience handling wage and hour class, collective, or PAGA actions.Experience handling charges before the EEOC and similar state or local agencies.Experience drafting employment policies (preferred).Experience counseling employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (preferred).Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the California State Bar.Active membership in the Washington State or Oregon State Bar, or eligibility to waive into or sit for the Bar.Skills:Ability to work collaboratively and independently.Efficiently handle multiple matters simultaneously to meet client demands.Excellent research, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, including public speaking.
