The Recruitment Manager will manage all non-partner recruiting functions for the office(s) (e.g., summer program, On-Campus interviewing "OCI", lateral associate, and Business Professionals' recruitment) and ensure all candidates receive a world-class candidate experience throughout the recruitment and selection process.Responsibilities:Serve as primary lead to manage and/or actively participate in one NA non-partner hiring workstream (e.g., Summer Program) to develop recruitment goals while ensuring recruiting professionals are aligned on recruitment execution.Manage and execute associate recruitment, summer program, and OCI (often across multiple offices) while driving creative sourcing methodologies, reducing dependency on agencies.Mentor and develop junior recruitment professionals in NA.Ensure coordination with the E2E team across all service level requests to ensure support is seamless and provides high-level candidate experience.Network with Firm partners, legal recruiters, and other law firm recruitment personnel to stay abreast of the happenings in the legal community and develop recruiting initiatives that impact the overall recruitment of diverse candidates.Law Student OCI Recruitment:Develop innovative law student recruitment strategies and manage relationships with law school career service professionals and sponsors of job fairs/diverse student organizations.Arrange and manage law student on-campus interview schedules and outreach events/logistics at designated law schools.Execute call-back interview process, ensuring timely hiring decisions are made in conjunction with local recruiting committees.Active member of the local recruiting committee to set meeting agendas and lead routine recruiting committee meetings.Lateral Associate Recruitment:Develop and manage relations with preferred search firms and other legal industry organizations to promote the Firm and lateral opportunities.Proactively work with regional practice groups to manage the recruitment process from sourcing to hire, with support from E2E teams.Conduct routine check-ins with newly hired first-year and lateral associates (e.g., 30, 60, 90 days).Professional Business Services Recruitment:In conjunction with Recruitment Manager, PBS, execute the sourcing/interview process for recruitment for PBS positions in NA, as requested.Summer Associate Program:Plan summer associate calendar, coordinate and execute summer events and activities; Attend all summer associate calendar events.Manage and discharge ongoing communications with summer associates before arrival, including employment terms/conditions, travel arrangements, housing work assignments, and mentor relationships.Develop and implement summer associate orientation and ensure their integration experience is of the highest quality and substance.Serve as a liaison with summer associates to address inquiries or other employment matters.Work with regional practice leadership to coordinate work assignments, secure performance feedback, and assist in coordinating requisite training.Secure summer program feedback from summer associates and Firm members, recommend and enact approved changes to the program.Ensure compliance with the regional offer approval process to extend timely offers.Additional Duties:Annual recruitment budget development for designated office(s) and monthly compliance of same.Develop recruiting initiatives that impact the overall recruitment of diverse candidates regionally with other recruitment team members (e.g., Diversity Roundtables).Develop and lead a minimum of one FY recruiting project as it relates to their designated recruitment workstream; Participate in one FY recruiting project outside their designated workstream.Participate in various recruiter organizations (e.g., City Group; NALP; Other) to increase personal networking, knowledge-sharing, and promotion of the Firm.Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree or equivalent.Strong recruiting experience in a professional services organization and/or large law firm, preferably with multi-office and in support of a diverse base of legal practices.Strong track record in direct sourcing methodologies and delivery.Disciplined leader to develop others via coaching, mentoring, and delivering performance feedback.Well-developed and sophisticated written and oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to relate to and gain the confidence of people at all levels within an organization.Able to bring good judgement and empathy to sensitive situations.Strong organizational skills and must be able to meet deadlines and multi-task in a matrix, fast-paced, professional services environment.Be an active member of various recruiter organizations (e.g., City Group; NALP, etc.).This position is bonus-eligible and includes medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits based on the number of hours worked. The US base compensation for this position is expected to be $131,200-146,400 annually if located in an office in Chicago. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
