The Recruitment Manager will manage all law student / entry-level recruiting functions for the Chicago office and ensure all candidates receive a world-class candidate experience throughout the recruitment and selection process. The Manager will also lead the US law student workstream and in-market team members helping to execute the Hiring Committee’s law student recruitment strategy.

Overall responsibilities:Manage and execute associate recruitment, summer program and OCI process to attract and hire top talentMentor, manager and develop junior recruitment professionals in the USLead the US law student workstream helping to execute the Hiring Committee’s law student recruitment strategyNetwork with partners, legal recruiters and other law firm recruitment personnel in an effort to stay abreast of the happenings in the legal communityBuild strategic relationships with career services personnel and key law student groups in the regionDevelop recruiting initiatives that impact the overall recruitment of diverse candidatesLaw Student OCI Recruitment:Develop innovative law student recruitment strategies and manage relationships with law school career service professionals and sponsors of job fairs/diverse student organizationsArrange and manage law student on-campus interview schedules and outreach events/logistics at designated law schoolsExecute call-back interview process, ensuring timely hiring decisions are made in conjunction with local recruiting committeesActive member of the local recruiting committee to set meeting agendas and lead routine recruiting committee meetingsSummer Associate Program:Plan summer associate calendar, coordinate and execute summer events and activities; Attend all summer associate calendar eventsManage and discharge ongoing communications with summer associates before arrival, including employment terms/conditions, travel arrangements, housing work assignments, and mentor relationshipsDevelop and implement summer associate orientation and ensure their integration experience is of the highest quality and substanceServe as a liaison with summer associates to address inquiries or other employment mattersWork with regional practice leadership to coordinate work assignments, secure performance feedback, and assist in coordinating requisite trainingSecure summer program feedback from summer associates and Firm members, recommend and enact approved changes to the programEnsure compliance with the regional offer approval process to extend timely offersAdditional Duties:Annual recruitment budget development for designated office(s) and monthly compliance of sameSupport lateral associate recruitment as requestedSupervise and maintain data entry, recruiting records for responsible office, law school outreach budget and summer programDevelop and lead annual recruitment projectsParticipate in various recruiter organizations (e.g., City Group; NALP; Other) to increase personal networking, knowledge-sharing, and promotion of the FirmSkills and Experience:Bachelor's degree or equivalentStrong recruiting experience in a professional services organization and/or large law firm, preferably with multi-office and in support of a diverse base of legal practicesStrong track record in direct sourcing methodologies and deliveryDisciplined leader to develop others via coaching, mentoring, and delivering performance feedbackWell-developed and sophisticated written and oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to relate to and gain the confidence of people at all levels within an organizationAble to bring good judgement and empathy to sensitive situationsStrong organizational skills and must be able to meet deadlines and multi-task in a matrix, fast-paced, professional services environmentBe an active member of various recruiter organizations (e.g., City Group; NALP, etc.)We are not accepting candidates from agencies.This position is bonus-eligible and includes medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits based on the number of hours worked. The US base compensation for this position is expected to be $131,200-146,400 annually if located in an office in Chicago. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
