An integrated design and build solution provider operating in the water sector with over 1,000 staff across eight regional centres, primarily supporting six long-term water sector frameworks.The Role:

You will work independently to provide planning audit and advice services at governance level for projects, ensuring that programme plans are achievable yet challenging, accurately monitored, and updated. You will be the driving force in continuous improvement and development of the planning function within the business, providing planning representation and leadership for the Planning Department at governance meetings when requested.Key Responsibilities:

Manage planning services across multiple business units and provide specific planning functions for business unit programmes.Understand the multi-disciplined roles involved within an integrated programme such as design, construction, commissioning, and interface with 3rd party partners.Knowledge of planning systems (Primavera – essential; Microsoft Project - preferable).Provide programme management for a portfolio of work comprising individual projects and programmes.Monitor performance against plans, identifying problem areas and other effects.Minimise company risk by identifying the critical path within the programme of work and individual contracts.Provide resource planning and levelling through appropriate resource analysis.Develop planning Key Performance Indicators and benchmarking metrics to improve project control and performance.Support the Director of UK Operations and the governance team on areas including tender programme sign-off and deep dives.Supervise and develop subordinates.Assist in minimising project and sub-programme outturn costs.Assist with income forecasting.Key Relationships:

All levels of staff, from UK Operations Director to Regional Operations Managers, and framework partnership management inclusive of clients.KPI Themes:

Good understanding of Civil Engineering and M&E activity.Extensive planning experience.Sound understanding of planning skills and programming.Minimum educated to HND level.Excellent knowledge of planning systems.Previous experience in successful line management and mentoring.Excellent written contractual communication.Good coaching and leadership skills.Ability to influence stakeholders.Key Words:
