Meet The Team

Dexcom R&D is a high-growth, fast-paced environment where you work with leading-edge, highly motivated software teams to develop the modern diabetes medical device systems. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our Security Engineering team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions for identity and security practices with a specific focus on vulnerability management and orchestration. Our ideal candidate should have a strong background in software development, a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, experience with managing Cloud Identity, and a passion for streamlining and enhancing operational processes, particularly in the context of security and vulnerability management.

Where You Come In

You design and implement code-based solutions to solve common infrastructure security challenges.You work with Cloud Identity to quickly serve internal team needs for access while adhering to a least privileged model.You work with Software Engineering teams to review deployed applications and the supporting infrastructure for potential security risks.You gather requirements from engineering teams for building to meet their needs for IAM, vulnerability management, or Golden Image requests.You diagnose and fix complex technical issues independently and with a team of motivated engineers.What Makes You Successful

Comfortable working with cloud environments like Google Cloud and AWS (Amazon Web Services).Familiarity with using a security-based risk scoring system (CVSS, ESPP, KEV).Proficiency in object-oriented languages (e.g., Java, Python, etc.) or languages such as Typescript and GoLang.Experience with identity and access management (IAM).Ideal If You Also Have

Understanding of Identity Access Management Systems (Cloud IAM, Active Directory, LDAP).Working knowledge and usage of Version Control (Git).Understanding of vulnerability management.Understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and tooling such as Pulumi or Terraform.Familiarity with industry standards as they relate to Cloud security management such as NIST and Cloud Security Alliance (CSA).Exposure to agile development, DevOps, and SecOps teams.Experience building and managing VM and Container Base Images.Some experience working with Agile teams and methodologies.Understanding of pipeline orchestration technology such as Github Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins.Passion to automate most if not all manual operations.Ability to think out of the box to complex and unique internal and customer facing issues.Ability to approach problems in a flexible and creative manner.What You’ll Get
