We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with strong legal and leadership skills to join our team as Deputy Director, Assistant Chief Counsel of Office of Legal Affairs. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Office of Legal Affairs, including assisting on policy matters and supporting administrative functions.Provide effective leadership to ensure quality of work, accuracy, and timeliness.Build and maintain positive and effective relationships with staff, leadership, and external partners and exhibit a high degree of professionalism and interpersonal skills, exercising open-mindedness, diplomacy, flexibility, tact, and sound judgment.Direct policy and oversee contract administration, outside counsel vendor management, and assist in the development and management of the divisional budget.Advise and direct the work of attorneys and divisional staff on a wide variety of legal work.Covered California values diversity at all levels of the organization and is committed to fostering an environment in which employees from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and personal experiences are welcomed and can thrive.
