Miami’s newest luxury-lifestyle independent hotel is seeking a Director of Sales to lead the development and execution of strategic sales plans, oversee a dynamic sales team, and drive initiatives to achieve defined revenue, market share, and profitability targets.Essential Job Functions:

Other duties may be assigned.Independent hotel experience required.Past experiences with hotel launch and repositioning efforts to drive new customer acquisitions.Dynamic leadership capabilities with an entrepreneurial skill set.Ability to review industry standard data related to new customer acquisition, formulate strategies and complete successful execution.Ability to proactively manage sales operating expenses relative to budget while maximizing return on spend and cash flow.Experience in developing holistic sales plans to support all segments and channels to drive profitability and achieve market performance goals.Development of annual budget and expenses.Oversee revenue and yield strategies to include group, leisure transient, business transient, group food and beverage, meeting room rental, local catering, and other revenue streams.Formulating and implementing strategies that include market mix, pricing, direct sales, and acquisition status and results.Strong direct sales ability and experience with leisure sales, consortia sales and business transient segments.Maximizing profitability while delivering outstanding guest service.Experience managing and directing creative agencies, public relations firms, social media firms.Experience setting individual & team goals, monitor achievement of objectives for the sales team and take appropriate action to correct shortfalls versus the goals and annual sales plan.Ensure training programs are conducted regularly and company standards of performance are met. Give guidance and counsel staff toward improvement.Strong presentation skills both written and oral.Ability to work effectively with all departments – and maintain regular communication with General Manager, Directors, Sales Managers and owners.Supervise the achievement of each Sales Manager closely, reference the action steps and goals outlined in the sales plan, review and update monthly.Set up weekly call quotas and booking quotas.Devise innovative campaigns and strategies based on insights, analytics, recaps, culture and trends to drive revenue.Program culturally relevant and brand-aligned events, pop-ups, and partnerships to create ancillary revenue, grow audience, and enhance reach, especially during periods such as Art Basel, Miami Music Week, Swim Week, and other high-trafficked times including holidays.Work with the Director of Marketing, digital team and all company marketing vendors to manage all digital marketing efforts, including PPC and other digital marketing ads.Qualifications:Five (5) years at the Director of Sales level or above.
