Software Engineering Manager,
MAC Risk Engineering, FactSet Research Systems Inc. Norwalk, CT.
Manage a team of software engineers or projects within the MAC Risk Engineering department. Duties include:
Review product requirement documents;
Problem solving and working on high-level (operational or architectural) issues to ensure effectiveness of products under direct management;
Implement and track development timelines, and negotiate feature sets with development leads and product teams;
Set goals and mentor development of ongoing projects;
Provide guidance and direction to team on software design and implementation;
Review code changes and submissions;
Present technical & operational issues to senior management and set deadlines and priorities for team members;
Help to coordinate recruiting, training and new hire onboarding for immediate team.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, or higher, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related technical field and 2 years of software engineering industry experience working with Linux, C++, STL, Boost, Perforce, git, GitHub, Object Oriented Programming, JSON, Protocol Buffers, Apache Arrow Flight, Multi-threaded Programming, Parallel & Distributed Systems, Python, Shell Scripting, Kibana, experience with developing and support new applications, calculation engines, and underlying infrastructure for portfolio construction, portfolio analysis, portfolio reporting, quantitative model building, risk analysis, and fixed income analysis. Working with the Product Development team on incremental product feature addition, diagnosis and resolution of client bugs and issues, implementation of financial models, and loading of client and third-party data. Must also have full life cycle experience.
Basic pay range is one hundred fifteen thousand dollars to one hundred forty five thousand dollars per year for full-time employment (Mon. – Fri. 9-5).
