This is a position at the J.J. Pickle Research Campus in North Austin.Purpose:

The position will work on multiple current fundings exploring geothermal resources, reservoir modeling, geothermal data analysis and machine learning implementation, and techno-economics.Responsibilities:ResearchWritingProposal DevelopmentVarious other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Ph.D. in earth sciences or engineering with research experience in geothermal energy.Proven capacity for innovative, creative scientific analysis.Excellent data management skills.Proven publication skills and verbal communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and professional demeanor.Ability to work both independently and effectively in a group.Ability to work effectively with multiple disciplines, including geophysics and engineering.Ph.D. must have been received within three years from date of hire.Preferred Qualifications:

Expertise in reservoir modeling, developing various machine learning models, and techno-economics. Experience in coding in Python/Julia, or similar languages and industry-standard reservoir simulators. Geothermal field project experience, either in industry or academia.Salary Range:
