Mid-Level UI/UX Designer
CGI has an immediate need for a Mid-Level UI/UX Designer in Reston, VA or Plano, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.This position is located in our Reston, VA or Plano, TX office with work performed at client site in a hybrid working model.Your future duties and responsibilities
Provide insight into design principles and creative methods to tackle sophisticated enterprise problems and achieve business objectives.Lead the discovery, synthesis, ideation, design, and testing of new experiences, products, and tools.Uncover user needs utilizing design research (e.g., user interviews, contextual inquiry, ethnography, etc.) to develop user-driven insights and inform new design concepts.Work cross-functionally (i.e., with product management, researchers, developers, and design teams) to identify pain points and areas for improvement.Ensure the needs of the user, customer, or other actor are included in the product vision, strategy, and roadmap planning.Own the design of sophisticated projects, including research, conceptualization, prototyping, and user testing.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visual, and experience.Communicate design concepts and detailed design rationale to partners and team members.Contribute to the development of design guidelines and standards.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers.Required qualifications to be successful in this role
5-8 years of proven experience as a Mid UI/UX Designer role.2 to 3 years of recent experience in Banking or Mortgage Industry.Portfolio of design work that demonstrates a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.Experience working within a multi-discipline team, leading design efforts on complex enterprise internal or B2B web applications.Expertise in testing and validating ideas with interactive prototypes and testing.Expertise in tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and InVision.Experience working with and contributing to Design System(s).Skills related to influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict.Expert in communicating information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand.Ability to conduct user research and usability testing.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.Excellent communication and team player.Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Skilled in Figma building interface designs, prototypes, and libraries.Skilled in using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe XD, and Acrobat.Education
