We Are Working With Cutting Edge Technology And Need Your Help To Make It All Come Together. You Will Join An Interdisciplinary Team Tackling The Biggest Obstacles In Public Safety Training Head-on, Including Immersive VR Based Empathy, Coping, And De-escalation Training To Help Officers Engage With The Communities They Serve, With Greater Awareness And Safety.As a member of Axon’s VR team, you will work with the engineering team and QA team to support automation efforts across our Community Engagement Training and Simulator Training products in Virtual Reality. The role focuses on creating and executing automations for multiple applications. This is a fast-paced role that works directly with other QA, developers, designers, and product to evaluate and isolate software and hardware failures resulting in thorough, actionable bugs.What You’ll Do

You will be a core member of the VR QA team, testing new experiences and technologies and developing our core shipping products. You will be a strategic partner to UX, Art, Product Management and Design when identifying product features. On any given day you may find yourself:Designing and developing test cases for releases and feature branchesIdentifying use cases and defining test strategies to create test cases for validating softwareIdentifying tools and processes required to create a scalable solutionDefining and implementing metrics to discover test effectiveness, efficiency, and overall product qualityWorking with product management and engineering team to understand product vision and requirementsAnalyzing test logs, creating test reports, and performing root cause analysis of issues foundWorking with software engineers to understand overall technical architecture and how each feature is implementedExecuting, maintaining, and collaborating on test casesInvestigating and reporting on software and hardware bugsReviewing bug reports from other team membersReviewing hardware, firmware, and software architecture to ensure testabilityReviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedbackLocation: Scottsdale, AZ (Hybrid)

Reports to: Manager of SWE QA EngineeringWhat You Bring

3-7+ years experience in QAExperience designing and building test frameworks that can scale with the productExperience reviewing logs to derive the root-cause of bugsExperience with commonly used bug-tracking software such as Jira, Bugzilla, Mantis, etc.Experience writing test cases, test plans and implementing test strategyClear, accurate and succinct written and verbal communicationExperience with Android debugging toolsNice to have experience with Github Actions, JenkinsNice to have experience with the command lineBenefits That Benefit You

The starting base pay for this role is between USD 90,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 150,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.Don’t meet every single requirement?
