Corporate Controller

We are recruiting a Corporate Controller for a world-class global manufacturer headquartered in St. Louis, MO. The Corporate Controller will report to the VP of Finance and be responsible for enterprise-level accounting, financial closing, global financial reporting, and internal controls and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a CPA license and 10+ years of progressive experience in global companies (manufacturing and/or public accounting preferred), a deep understanding of US GAAP and internal controls, and excellent communication, relationship building, and leadership skills.RESPONSIBILITIES:Design proactive strategic initiativesAlign delivery of Finance services to meet or exceed organizational needsAlign Finance policies with Company values and goalsManage the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and ensure the books of records are maintained in compliance with all laws, accepted accounting principles and Company policies and procedures.Lead and actively participate in business initiatives and projects, including operationalizing the accounting for new transactions, implementation of new accounting standards, and serve as a key partner in the implementation of business and accounting systems.Partner with the leadership team, cross functional leaders, and other members of the finance team to provide advice on financial implications of business activities.Participate in the creation of the financial vision and develop related financial metrics and methodologies.Serve as an active member of the Finance leadership team.Participate as a leader in strategy development/deployment.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's in Accounting; MAcc or MBA preferredThorough understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting experience.Certified Public Accountant (CPA)Lean Accounting experience strongly preferredExperience with purchase accounting and acquisitions integrations strongly preferred
