You might just be the right candidate for us.The Simulation group is solving one of self-driving’s most difficult problems: evaluating the performance of the autonomous driving software stack before it reaches public roads.As an Applied Scientist in the Simulation team, you will leverage your skills in robotics, machine learning, optimization, and related areas, along with sophisticated software engineering, to drive new ideas and technologies from design to production and help us build high fidelity, high performance simulations that let us train and test our AV stack. We are looking for an engineer who can independently tackle complex problems creatively and deliberately while also driving collaborations across large engineering organizations. This role will lead you to learn the ins and outs of our autonomous driving software stack, simulation frameworks, and simulation testing tools.Required Skills

BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or equivalent experience5+ years relevant industry experienceStrong programming skills in C++.Clear track record of effective collaboration with customers and continuous delivery of quality results in a remote workplace. Comfortable collaborating across large engineering organizations.Passion for safe, fully-electric, self-driving technology and its impact on the worldDesired Skills

Experience with building or extending robotic simulation frameworks.Strong programming skills in Python.The salary range for this position is $161,200 - $237,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits.
