Job DescriptionThe opportunityThe Actuarial System Data and Reporting team is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. This role works with the US Reporting Steward and will help serve as a liaison between US Actuarial and Global Systems & Data teams to meet the business' reporting needs. The primary function of this role will be to use data tools (SQL, QlikView, PowerBI) to query our data warehouse and provide meaningful analysis through new solutions and improving existing ones to support Valuation with their Quarter-end and Year-end Reporting. The role will also be responsible for tracking change management tickets and implementation, along with supporting prioritization and assessment by developers, for continued System Improvement. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in querying data warehouses, SQL queries, using business intelligence tools for data visualization and analysis, and a passion for thinking outside the box to come up with process improvements and new insights.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with business partners to understand actuarial data requirements and translate them into technical specificationsWork closely with development teams to ensure effective implementation of data solutionsDevelop and maintain SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from the data warehouseSupport SIT (Systems Integration Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) cycles and conduct regression testingDeliver actionable insights and recommendations to support process improvementsDesign and create QlikView dashboards to improve analysis and reportingContribute to change management process by collecting requests, working with developers on assessment, tracking JIRA logs, and supporting prioritization processContinuously improve actuarial data processes and standard methodologies to ensure data accuracy and integrity

What We Are Looking ForBachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field2-5 years of hands-on experience with SQL, including writing sophisticated queries and manipulating large datasetsExperience using data visualization tools (preferably Qlikview and/or PowerBI) to create and maintain reports to communicate insights from dataStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsSuperb communication and collaboration abilitiesFamiliarity with change management processes and methodologiesAbility to work independently and cross-functionally in a team environmentExperience working with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and manipulation is preferred but not requiredKnowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies is a plus

Salary & BenefitsThe annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary LocationBoston, Massachusetts

Salary range is expected to be between$68,740.00 USD - $127,660.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
