In depth knowledge of plan and specification readingMastery of quantity take-off & subcontractor solicitationMastery of mathematical formulas required to perform quantity take-off and bid evaluationIn-depth understanding of subcontractor bid evaluationWorking knowledge of building componentsBasic understanding of trade sequencingBasic understanding of contract languageBasic understanding of risk management

Essential Function of the positionDetailed review of plans and specificationsPerform detailed quantity surveys and input into Timberline Estimating as directed by the Senior EstimatorPrice items taken off for review by Senior EstimatorConstant communication with the Senior Estimator and fellow estimators about unusual situations, possible scope gaps, etc.Distributes plans and specifications to subcontractors/vendorsSubcontractor/Vendor solicitation and follow up. Must maintain constant communication with and support subcontractors/vendors throughout the bid process.
