Project Manager
focused on communications to help manage and coordinate a variety of activities for our National Cancer Institute client.As a Project Manager you will:
Serve as task manager across multiple communication projects.Ensure tasks and projects meet internal and external deadlines. Manage and track client deliverables and deadlines using SharePoint, Trello, Teams, and other project management tools.Support the development of communication products, including website content, newsletters, fact sheets, presentations, and reports.Develop an understanding of the project’s scope and ensure the client and team are on the same page.Identify and resolve or mitigate areas needing clarification, project dependencies, risks, and issues.Be a proactive self-starter, working independently to move projects and tasks forward to completion.Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to schedule meetings.Offer logistics support for client meetings, webinars, speaking engagements, and other ad-hoc activities.Plan and execute special events, meetings, and workshops. Draft initial agendas, briefings, presentations, and other communications tools.Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree.5+ years of experience managing relevant projects in a consulting or government environment.3+ years of marketing/communications experience.Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust.Professional Skills:
A demonstrated understanding of project management methodology including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, and run team meetings.A demonstrated ability to manage tight timelines while adhering to budgetary constraints.Ability to work on multiple projects and manage various stakeholders simultaneously.Preferred Skills:
