Inside the Role

As a software engineer within Connectivity Services Group, you will play a key role in developing a secure, scalable, and reliable IoT Streaming and Video platform for DTNA's Connected Safety product suite. You will be responsible for applying software engineering best practices and working within designated guidelines to ensure the development of a high-quality product. You will also work closely with the software architect to understand how development efforts impact other teams, and drive strategic efforts related to data strategy and management for telematics services. Additionally, coordinate front-end and back-end development efforts, and collaborate with other software engineers to identify and solve complex problems. With a focus on continual learning and taking on new challenges, you will be an integral part of the team driving innovation within the organization.We Take Care of Our Team

Position offers a starting salary range of $90,000-115,000 USD. Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience. Develops software source code or new software for commercially released Big Data IoT systems.Develops, maintains, tests and evaluates big data solutions based on Big Data platforms such as Hadoop, MapReduce, HIVE, HBase. Builds large-scale data processing systems, works with the latest NoSQL data technologies, and expert in data warehousing solutions.Experience with object-oriented design, coding and testing patterns as well as experience in engineering (commercial or open source) software platforms and large-scale data infrastructures.Experience with distributed caching, distributed key-value and document data stores, data replication and conflict resolution, scale-out fault tolerance and data-layer reliability.Knowledge You Should Bring

Requires a Bachelors Degree or related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience.Requires working knowledge and expanded professional experience in job field.Requires understanding of key business drivers.Works independently within guidelines and policies to solve problems of moderate complexity.Provides informal guidance to new team members.May lead projects or processes as required.Where We Work
