Guardian Life is seeking a highly skilled and experienced

UI Developer

to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating

responsive

websites utilizing ReactJs, NextJs, Contentful and other front-end technologies. You will play a critical role in designing and implementing scalable and efficient solutions while ensuring the quality and performance of our applications.

You Will:

Understand the Business/Stakeholder/Technical requirements and assist in analyzing the existing solutions to address the needs. Assist in creation of simple, modular, extensible functional design for the product/solution in alignment to the requirements.Develop highly innovative UI design, Web components, achieved through collaboration and dialogue with other authorities in the field. The candidate will continually assess advancements in technologies to gauge and recommend better solutions for the customer to improve the software developer experience and efficient delivery of software.Attend all discussions/design/development meetings and provide technical inputs to further enhance the code quality/process.Front end development using modern JavaScript and experience with ES6+ features, such as classes, arrow functions, template literals and modules.

You Have:

Very good analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience in creating user interfaces using ReactJS, NextJS, HTML 5, CSS libraries like SASS, Material UI etc.Experience working with Contentful CMS.Experience in integrating with scalable back-end services e.g. REST APIs, Graph-QL etc.Experience implementing analytics tags – preferably using Google Tag Manager.Knowledge of Accessibility issues and how to fix those issues.Experience in writing automated unit tests.Experience with code repositories and version control practices.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and standard methodologies. Automated deployment experience is a plus.Experience in software quality and operational excellence practices.Experience in agile development methodology.Good to have – API development using NodeJS/NestJS.This role can transition into a Full Stack Engineer role for the right individual.

Location & Travel:

Hybrid Remote: 2 days a week at a Guardian office in Holmdel, NJ or Bethlehem, PA.

Salary Range:

$78,230.00 - $117,342.50. The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
