Director, Investor Relations & Fund Raising - Commercial Real Estate - Newport Beach, CAA leading industrial real estate firm focusing on mixed use industrial/commercial properties is seeking a Director, Investor Relations & Fund Raising to lead their Investor Relations and Capital Markets team. Reporting to the Managing Director of Capital Markets, the Director of Investor Relations will lead a Tier-1 Investor Relations team while developing and executing strategies for capital raising with both institutional and HNW investors. This is a high impact role, and position demands a pedigreed and proven Director of Investor Relations with a strong track record of managing a top-tier Investor Relations team with a deep understanding of both the commercial real estate sector and a rapidly changing capital markets environment.ResponsibilitiesA. Investor Relations ManagementDevelop and maintain relationships with current and potential institutional investors, analysts, and financial mediaCraft and deliver compelling messages regarding company’s performance, strategy, and prospectsManage and coordinate investor communication materials including annual reports, earnings releases, and investor presentationsLead and manage investor meetings, roadshows, and conferencesMonitor and analyze market trends and investor feedback to provide strategic insights to senior managementDevelop and implement a comprehensive investor relations strategyEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirements regarding investor communicationsB. Capital RaisingDevelop and implement strategies for capital raising to support a rapidly growing commercial and industrial real estate portfolioLead negotiations and manage the due diligence processCollaborate with the CFO and senior management to determine capital structure and financing optionsEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements related to fundraising activitiesC. Strategic PlanningAlign investor relations and capital raising strategies with the overall business strategyMonitor commercial/industrial real estate industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risksPrepare detailed financial models and forecasts to support fundraising activities and investor communicationsBuild strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Board of Directors, Executive team, and key institutional investorsRequirementsBachelors in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field. MBA and/or CFA a plus8+ years of private funds investor relations/fundraising experience, ideally in the commercial/industrial real estate, capital markets or investment banking sectorsProven track record of capital raising experience working directly with institutional investors and managing an Investor Relations teamAdvanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and the entire Microsoft Office SuiteStrong understanding of financial modeling and valuation conceptsAnalytical, organized, with excellent project management skills and high attention to detailProficient in polished written and oral communication and a team playerThis is an excellent role for a proven Manager or Director of Investor Relations looking to take their career to the next level with a leading mixed use commercial real estate company while managing a pedigreed and proven Investor Relations team. Ideal candidate will have 8+ years of high impact Investor Relations, Investment Banking or Capital Markets experience and a passion for the Industrial and Commercial Real Estate space and a proven track record of managing a highly accomplished team. This role is 5 days a week in office in their beautiful Newport Beach HQs, and local candidates or those very serious about relocating will be considered.
