The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position. National Life offers a competitive total rewards package which includes: a 401(k) retirement plan match; medical, dental, and vision insurance; a company funded wellness account for director and below employees; 10 paid holidays; a generous paid time off plan (22 days of combined time-off for non-exempt employees and exempt employees have discretion in managing their time, including scheduling time off in the normal course of business, but in no event will exempt employees receive less sick time than required by state or local law); 6 weeks of paid parental leave; and 6 weeks of paid family leave after a year of full-time employment.

Role Summary
Creative, experienced, results oriented IT leader with a solid background and a proven record of accomplishment/ work experience in driving business & Managing Steady State. Examples Include:
- Workflow engines
- Rules management Systems.
- Process mapping & re-engineering.
- Technical integrations
- Drive conceptual and ideation phases with business.
- Defining value propositions with business on transformations including ROE, ROI, CBA etc.
- Work with PMO (Project Management Office) to create the CBAs to quantify the purpose of transformations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- This is an IT leadership role responsible for working hand in hand with business to find creative IT solutions in support of business needs.
- The person must be able to effectively communicate complex business requirements and processes to stakeholders.
- The individual in this role needs to be forward-thinking and have a drive for results.
- This role provides expert knowledge in detailed technical design and technical hands-on leadership during development, implementation/release.
- IT Budget management is a requirement for both CAPEX and OPEX.
- Partners with all IT verticals: Architecture, Applications, Security, Data, and others to create IT solutions that have positive impact to support business change.
- Execution leadership will be measured by the ability to instill trust, value differences, have courage and create change with humility and vulnerability.
- This role requires core workdays of Tuesday through Thursday in office (either Vermont headquarters or Addison headquarters).
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of hand-on experience in driving modern application solutions.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or business information systems.
- Understanding of API (Application Programming Interfaces) and Queue Orchestrations.
- Ability to effectively lead, manage and influence remote and offshore teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across business units and IT customers in the planning, development, testing, and implementation of high-quality IT solutions.
- Action oriented with ability to take initiative, think creatively and critically.
- The ability to demonstrably learn and grow is necessary
- Good coaching and mentoring skills are required to build teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong organizational skills necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the financial services industry, Life and Annuity experience strongly preferred.

- This position is presently onsite/hybrid with the expectation that you are in the office three days per week with current campus days being Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (subject to change with advance notification and manager discretion).
