The successful Key Account Manager will own the relationship with a principal contract or management group that operate a portfolio of purchase properties within a defined region. They will oversee the introduction of new accounts to Baldor’s programming and offerings. Ensure the properties are fully integrated into our supply chain network and pricing. Set both unit level and corporate management expectations on service levels, fill rates, delivery, pricing, and quality and manage those expectations over the course of dynamic seasons.ResponsibilitiesDevelop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition.Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer’s business model and contractual requirements.Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.Regularly provide updates to units and principles regarding new items, initiatives, programs, and any external or internal impacts to service or business.First level of escalations regarding pricing errors, delivery mishaps, ordering issues, and any unit level triage that must occur.Manage and organize quarterly business reviews of contract group for internal.Visit accounts to make introductions, deliver samples, fix deliveries, or provide high touch customer service as needed.Participate in unit level and corporate events, as needed.Requirements And SkillsProven experience managing large, complex, and sensitive relationships.Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.Excellent organizational skills.Excel in problem-solving and negotiation.Culinary and/or Hospitality experience is preferred.High knowledge of Produce and specialty food products is essential to success.Join our dynamic team and make a significant impact on the success of our products and the satisfaction of our customers.
