Reporting to the Chief Administrator/COO and overseeing a team of over 350, the Executive Director is responsible for managing and administrating all facets of the clinical oncology & Cell & Gene therapy program. The Executive Director is the leader of the comprehensive program of patient care delivery related to oncology and cell & gene therapy, encompassing the adult and pediatric oncology clinics, the stem cell transplant program, radiation oncology, cell gene therapy, supportive oncology, Cancer Clinic Infusion Centers, and outpatient stem cell & gene therapies used for the treatment of Cancer & non-oncology related diseases.
Within this capacity, the Executive Director will partner with division and hospital leadership, Adult and Pediatric Infusion Centers, Pharmacy, and medical directors to maintain program excellence, fiscal health, accreditation, and program growth. The position is responsible for an annual expense budget of $153M with projected gross revenues of $1B.
This is an onsite role based in Sacramento, CA.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, & promote an efficient administrative & clinical organizational structure to achieve the organization’s strategic goals. Ensure compliance with all relevant organizations (CMS, Joint Commission, State of California, ACOS, CoC).
Provide active leadership in support and implementation of UCDH initiatives. Work collaboratively with the Cancer Center CAO/Associate Director of Administration to align & integrate research & clinical trial activities of the Cancer Center into the operational workflows of the clinic & infusion centers.
Lead the strategic & business planning efforts for the Oncology Program, overseeing development, implementation, monitoring, and updating of the strategic business plan to achieve Oncology Program performance goals.
Execute the budgetary process for the multi-million-dollar programs and is responsible for developing fiscal projections & budget analyses for new programs & systems. Formulate, manage & control fiscal policy, clinical revenue, and expenditures.
The preferred candidate will possess ten or more years of management/executive experience in a complex tertiary health system, academic medical center, extensive clinically integrated network, or comparable health care environment. A Master's degree in hospital administration, business administration, or health-related field is required.
Salary Range: $160,700 – $274,700 – $388,700.
