POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Analyst, Data Analytics & Reporting is responsible for developing enterprise-wide business analysis models and associated reporting. The individual will serve as a technical expert across all ULI reporting technologies to drive membership growth, help inform key strategies on member engagement, and build new data products leveraging Microsoft Power BI and other software. The Senior Analyst will partner directly with key stakeholders and have a chance to experiment and implement their own ideas for how to improve ULI’s data and analytics program. The Senior Analyst will have an opportunity to work on a wide variety of tasks across ULI’s global operations.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the design and development of dashboards, visualizations, and insights using Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and other tools as necessary.Subject matter expertise for key functions at ULI including corporate partnerships, DEI, and fundraising operations.Partner with ULI business operations to gather requirements on their data needs, understand their operations and lead projects to create new data analytics products. Present findings to key stakeholders.Evaluate reporting requests and processes and make improvements necessary to increase efficiency and accuracy.Develop complex ad-hoc queries to retrieve and process data from SQL Server and MS Excel.Establish data quality standards for ULI metadata to meet business rules and industry best practices.Perform data quality tests against ULI data standards, implement processes to cleanse and standardize data, and work to improve ULI’s overall data health.Structure, implement, and manage systems and processes to gather, evaluate, and disseminate performance and demographic data.Review and provide recommendations for changes to existing data collection systems and methods.Train staff on the use of reporting products.May supervise outside contractors and project teams as necessary.This position interacts with every department in ULI along with all ULI’s global offices, as well as technology vendors and consultants.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Technology certifications are a plus.Project Management Professional certification is a plus.At least 5 years of experience developing and supporting an enterprise reporting environment.Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Power BI, or other data visualization tools such as Tableau.Prior CRM reporting experience such as NetFORUM, Dynamics365, Salesforce.Experience with Python, R Studio, or other statistical programming languages.Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.Ability to articulate thoughts and ideas and communicate through written works, audio conference, and web conferences.Strong, logical, and analytical thinker.Detail-oriented and organized.Ability to analyze a request, understand business processes & objectives, and then develop appropriate solutions.Experience working with a membership association is a plus.
