POSITION SUMMARYThe Sustainability Partnerships Director is responsible for the execution of solutions to support the expansion of Breakthrough's sustainability offerings. The role will be responsible to develop solutions that help clients achieve their sustainability goals by surfacing low-carbon freight solutions to meet specific client transportation needs. This individual will be responsible for the development of partnerships with carriers and energy providers and the implementation of all activities required to execute in pursuit of internal and client goals. This is an individual contributor role developing a new business within a 20-year-old startup company.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIESRepresent Breakthrough and interface in various settings, supporting the team in the deployment of complex solutions and partnerships throughout the Sustainability ecosystemBuild expert level understanding of the low carbon freight landscape including energy providers, carriers, and OEMsDevelop understanding of emissions reporting and client goals to build custom solutions that fit client goalsSupport the development of the customer and partnership implementation and management process for sustainability solutionsKeep current with the key sustainability industry leaders and the technology driving market acceptance and changeLive our values of High Performance, Caring Relationships, Strategic Foresight, and Entrepreneurial SpiritFind A Better Way by championing continuous improvement and quality control efforts to identify opportunities to innovate and improve efficiency, accuracy, and standardizationContinuously learn and develop self professionallySupport corporate efforts for safety, government compliance, and all other company policies & proceduresPerform other related duties as required and assignedQUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in business, transportation, logistics or related field or equivalent experience5-10+ years of experience in operations in transportation and logistics, supply chain, or other complex operational solutions and systemsProven history of strong team leadershipExperience in Fortune 500 client interactions and business development relationshipsUnderstanding of competitive landscape including new industry technologies and trendsAbility to work in partnership across the company and its portfolioAbility to work in a diverse organization where group interaction, team playing, and human relations are critical to successAbility to create a powerful network across the industries related to the company's current and future portfolio, including those at the c-suite and executive levelsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills - speaks clearly and persuasively; listens well; delivers professional individual and group presentations; presents ideas and information in a manner that gets others' attentionOutstanding customer relationship management skillsAbility to excel in a team environmentProven track record of customer retention and relationship buildingSelf-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasmWillingness and ability to travel 20%
