The position offers the flexibility of remote work and is suitable for a proactive individual capable of thriving in a dynamic legal environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Handle breach of contract and collection litigation matters from demand through judgment.Attend court hearings, both telephonic and in-person.Prepare and argue Motions for Summary Judgment.Manage an assigned caseload to achieve goals and meet client expectations.Address escalated and time-sensitive matters as needed.Perform additional duties and special projects as required.Requirements:Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.Admission to practice law in the state of California; multi-jurisdictional admission in AZ, CA, NV, and TX is preferred but not required.Experience with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) and Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) is a plus.Skills:Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong research skills, including the use of legal and non-legal sources.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload effectively.Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.Analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, and time management.
