Position Information:The Student Disability Resources Center (SDRC) provides services for students with various permanent and temporary disabilities. These disabilities may include: learning disabilities; attention deficit disorder; autism, visual, mobility, or hearing impairments; psychological disabilities; chronic systemic disorders (e.g., lupus, Crohn's disease, multiple sclerosis, diabetes); fractures, strains, or stress injuries. The Assistant Director for SDRC provides support to the Director with all aspects of SDRC operations to ensure administrative, programmatic, and day-to-day services are provided to campus constituents. This includes assisting in developing and administering the department budget and strategic initiatives. The Assistant Director maintains a reduced caseload of complex, high-resource student cases, facilitating an interactive process to determine eligibility for disability-related accommodations, and supporting Disability Specialists to ensure students with disabilities receive approved accommodations, adjustments, and modifications. This position represents the SDRC and works collaboratively with campus departments and officials at all levels; contributes to departmental operational improvement and assessment and to the performance management and supervision of SDRC staff. Additionally, this position is responsible for directing, organizing, and planning functions of SDRC, including administration, academic support, and other support services. The incumbent directs outreach and programs for SDRC. The Assistant Director interacts regularly with staff, administrators, faculty, deans, and other advisors regarding UCR's responsibilities to students with disabilities under federal and state laws and University policy. The Assistant Director must work within a highly confidential service delivery model that is fast-paced, high-stakes, detail-oriented, and promotes accountability and maturity. The individual is responsible for maximizing technology in support of department functions. The incumbent will also perform other related duties as assigned. This position is required to occasionally work evenings and weekends, outside of normal work hours.

The full salary range for the Assistant Director, Student Disability Resource Center is $73,600 - $133,200 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $103,400 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
