P08393UFDescription:The School of Accounting, Finance and Information Systems invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE ), 9-month, tenure-track (annual) Assistant Professor position.

The School of Accounting, Finance and Information Systems ( AFIS ) is part of the College of Business. The College of Business offers a full spectrum of undergraduate and graduate programs, and teaching assignments may include both undergraduate and graduate courses in Finance.

Expectations include:

High quality teaching and scholarly activities that result in publications in leading peer-refereed journals.A program of research/scholarship that leads to timely promotion in rank and the granting of indefinite tenure, with evidence for continued research and scholarly publication.Engagement in service activities in the School, College, University and the Profession.Faculty are expected to be collegial and supportive members of the unit and to exhibit a code of behavior appropriate to a professional educator.Leadership in activities appropriate to the position duties.The College of Business is committed to maintaining and enhancing its diverse and collaborative community that strives for equity and inclusivity. Minimum Qualifications (Staff) / Guidelines (Faculty):Typically requires PhD or terminal degree (Masters for some Extension positions and MLS for Library positions), demonstrated ability to teach in a classroom Extension, or other setting, and develop a research program in the academic discipline/unit.Requirements :Ph.D. in a field appropriate to position duties; i.e., Finance or closely-related fieldEvidence of potential for scholarly publications in leading Finance journals.Evidence of potential ability to effectively deliver courses at the University-level in Finance.Demonstrated commitment to educational equity in a multicultural setting and a commitment to advancing the participation of diverse groups, supporting diverse perspectives, and student success.Type:Teaching assignments may include course delivery in any format – site-based in-person, asynchronous online, or hybrid combinations of online, site-based in-person, and/or remote instruction.

Additional Salary Information:

Salary is commensurate with skills, education and experience.
