Under general supervision performs professional nursing care of considerable difficulty for clients with complex health care needs; performs related work as assigned.

Please note:

This position is open until filled with the first round of applications being reviewed September 3rd, 2024. A second review will take place October 1, 2024.

The hiring range is $94,020 to $115,644. Starting salary will depend on qualifications. (Illustrative Only)

Responsibilities:

Provides ongoing health maintenance and clinical managementOversees medical/nursing aspects of clinic operationsConducts physical examination, assessment, diagnosis, and treatmentMakes referrals and follows clients through established nursing care plansWrites standing orders and updates them in coordination with medical directorConducts nursing staff performance evaluationsPrescribes and dispenses medication and devicesDirects and assists in screening programsProvides complete physical assessmentOrders, interprets, and follows up on laboratory and diagnostic testsConducts preventive health care education and counselingActs as a consultant to other professionalsParticipates in service training and educationMaintains records and reportsMay review and interpret clinical policies and procedures and provides guidance as neededPerforms other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited school of Nursing and an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and one year of nursing experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must possess a current CPR certification.Must possess a current fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety (or the ability to obtain one).Must obtain an Arizona driver's license by date of hire and maintain it throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

Experience providing HIV PEP and PrEPExperience providing Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy (GAHT)Bilingual in English and SpanishExperience with IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removalsExperience providing sexual health services in a clinic environment

The Department will consider candidates who will be sitting for their Nurse Practitioner Exam within two months of their application date of submission.
