For more information on Blue Bird's complete product and service portfolio, visit www.blue-bird.com.JOB SUMMARYReporting to the Sales Operation Center Supervisor, this role is responsible for inspecting new buses when they are delivered to the Sales Operation Center making repairs or adjustments to ensure the salable condition of the buses.This role involves performing detailed inspections, documenting findings, and working closely with production teams to address any issues.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInspect buses to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, company standards, and customer requirementsPerforms repairs and replaces defective items with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with factory standardsInspects for obvious damage and missing major components; to include loose or misaligned items such as trim, doors, and hardwareVerifies all fluids are correct and at proper levelsPerform functional tests on electrical, mechanical, and safety systemsVerifies no diagnostic trouble codes are present using technicians' tools and test equipmentStarts engine and drives the vehicle to test steering, brakes, transmission, and engine operationInspects surfaces to detect minor chips and scratches in paint. Touches up imperfections using brush applicator and factory-supplied matching paintEnsures repairs are properly documented and reports any safety issues immediately to managementCleans and vacuums interior of vehicles, washes and polishes exterior of vehiclesKeeps shop area neat and cleanMaintains and is accountable for all Sales Operation Center owned tools and manuals.
