The ideal candidate will have expertise in ARM SoC implementations, DSP algorithms, and wireless modem IP verification, with a strong background in ASIC design principles.What you will be doing:
Design and implement ARM-based SoC solutions for applications including 5G, IoT, etc.Develop and optimize DSP algorithms for ASICs, focusing on efficiency and low power consumptionVerify wireless modem IP blocks, perform gate-level synthesis, and conduct simulationsCollaborate with system architects to define SoC architecture, DSP specifications, and wireless modem IP requirementsDevelop RTL code for SoC components, DSP modules, and wireless modem IPPerform functional verification, validation, and gate-level simulationsWork with layout engineers for efficient physical implementationConduct performance analysis and optimization of designsParticipate in design reviews and mentor junior engineersStay updated with advancements in ARM architecture, DSP algorithms, wireless modem technologies, and semiconductor designWhat you bring to this role:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience in ASIC design with ARM-based SoC implementations, DSP algorithms, and wireless modem IP verificationProficiency in RTL design using Verilog or VHDLStrong understanding of ARM architecture, DSP theory, wireless modem technologies, and AMBA protocolsExperience with EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor Graphics)Knowledge of synthesis, place and route, timing analysis, and system-level design toolsExcellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skillsBonus points for the following:
Experience with low-power design techniquesKnowledge of high-speed interface protocols (e.g., PCIe, USB, Ethernet)Familiarity with ARM-based firmware/software development and DSP algorithm development using MATLABExperience with formal verification methodologies and DFT/DFx principlesUnderstanding of fixed-point and floating-point arithmetic optimizationExperience with scripting languages (Python, Perl) for automationThis is a full-time, exempt position, based out of our Saratoga office. The target base pay for this position is $140,000 - $200,000 annually. The total compensation package will be determined by various factors such as your relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used—so we’re looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit activities.
