Reno is the perfect location for an outdoor enthusiast with skiing, hiking, mountain biking, camping, fishing, and trail running right outside your front door.Animal Emergency and Specialty Center provides 24 hour emergency care, critical care, surgery, chemotherapy, and animal rehabilitation care to the patients of over 75 referring hospitals from Northern Nevada as well as California. Our region is growing, and we are looking for skilled veterinarians that can provide optimal patient care for our growing emergency and specialty center.We are looking for someone who practices exceptional medicine and makes patient care the highest priority. In addition to best patient care, we pride ourselves on clear and thorough client communication, especially during critical situations.Our ideal candidate is skilled in performing emergency and critical care examinations, diagnostics, and medical procedures. Surgery skills would be a plus, as our emergency veterinarians are expected to perform typical emergency surgical procedures such as GDV, GI foreign body removal, and pyometra.We are looking for a candidate who is ethical, positive, and who can focus on team support, even when a day does not go as planned. The DVM position is not only about providing care to our patients and clients, but also supporting our team with positive feedback and the desire to teach.
