We are builders at heart, working to ensure the built environment has a lasting positive impact.Let's Redefine PossibleSUMMARYMortenson is looking for an Accounts Payable Team Lead who will be responsible for training and auditing the work of Accounts Payable Associates and/or Senior Accounts Payable Associate. Act as a subject matter expert for special projects as assigned.RESPONSIBILITIESTrain Accounts Payable and Senior Accounts Payable Associates
Ensure new hires are fully trained on internal procedures and company policiesAssist with department cross-trainingProvide ongoing mentoring to team members
Assist Supervisor with managing day to day operations
Complete daily work queue assignments for team to ensure work is completedAssist in completing metrics for team membersAssist in leading team meetingAssist with queues as needed to maintain SLA'sAssist Supervisor with other duties as needed
Audit work performed
Ensure all work is accurate and completed in a timely mannerProvide timely escalation of issues to Accounts Payable Supervisor
Full Regression Systems Testing
Semi-annual and annual testing of all Accounts Payable systems (Oracle, Vertex, ServiceNow)Testing on demand in conjunction ongoing break/fixes
Subject Matter Expert for Special Projects as Assigned
Draft / update internal procedures as neededParticipate in department projects and company initiatives as requiredAssist with department metrics as neededMentor department interns
Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.(If applicable) All other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; or an equivalent combination of education and professional experiencePrior Senior Accounts Payable level experience requiredMortenson Accounts Payable experience strongly preferredConstruction accounting experience a plusAbility to perform in a dynamic, changing environmentWell-developed written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented and can work well within a deadline driven environmentPerform functions efficiently and accurately with little direction supervisionPositive, professional attitude and excellent customer service skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive informationWorking knowledge of Kofax, Oracle, and Microsoft suite is a plusActive listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedbackMortenson is an EOE/Affirmative Action/M/F/Veteran/Disabled employer.Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.Mortenson reserves the right to hire any individual without legal or financial obligation on unwanted solicitations.
